The museum is located in the historical center of the city, in a two-storey nineteenth century mansion made of red brick in the eclectic style.
In the collection of the museum, there are more than 45 thousand exhibits from ancient Egyptian mummies to postmodern works by Valery Koshlyakov. The property of the museum is the collection of the manufacturer and philanthropist Dmitry Gennadievich Burylin. It is considered the best provincial collection of pre-revolutionary Russia.
The collection of the visual avant-garde is also unique. In Soviet times Ivanovo was the first for the export of avant-garde art from the capital's museums to the provincial ones.
Now the Museum Of Arts is a repository of unique historical values, the largest center of scientific, cultural and educational activities. The museum's collections are exhibited in cities of Russia and abroad. Contactsivartmuseum.ru+7 493 230 16 41
