The museum is situated in one of the buildings of a former automotive equipment maintenance plant, now the RIAT company. The museum is on the list of 15 top private museums of Russia. Soviet cars of different years are displayed there. There are various cars from premium to economy class models.
In the museum there is a collection of cars made at Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ), mainly executive-class cars like ZIM, ZIS-110, Chaika-13. And well-liked GAZ-21 Volga. GAZ-AA and GAZ-MM are pride of the collection. These cars were used at parades on the Red Square. Recently the collection was enlarged with cars made at Volzhsky Automobile Plant (VAZ), for instance, with a legendary VAZ-2101.
The cars were restored at the RIAT workshop, they take part in retro motor rallies and exhibitions of retro cars in different Russian cities.
