Plyos Embankment, the Monument of Isaac Levitan, the Cat Monument, the Dachnitsa Monument, the Beach
Plyos, Sovietskaya and Lunacharskogo Streets
It is the liveliest town's street with a lot of merchants' mansions of the nineteenth century, museums and an open-air gallery. Volzhskaya embankment was founded in 1781 according to Catherine the Great edit. Its construction was managed by the same commission that was in charge of construction projects in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. Nowadays on the embankment you can meet artists and fishermen, breathe fresh air and have a hot chocolate and kuleikas at the Cafe by Sofia Kuvshinnikova.
Moorings are inseparable with the embankment. Steam boats from other cities and towns arrive there. There is also the town's beach near the embankment. On the embankment there are the Monument to Levitan, curious cat monument and dachnitsa monument (a woman at dacha, a traditional Russian country house with a garden).
