The Dunilovo Dormition Monastery
Shuya District, Dunilovo Village, Rodnikovskaya Street, 15
On the picturesque bank of the Teza River, you can see the domes of the churches of the Assumption Monastery located on the way out from the ancient village of Dunilovo. This place was first mentioned in the chronicles of the fifteenth century.
Pilgrims came there first only 200 years ago, when the boyar Fyodor Lopukhin built Vorobyevskaya Pustyn there.
On the territory there is a church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the neoclassical style. A gilded central dome rises above the white columns among 4 small domes. At the entrance to the monastery there is a wooden chapel and bath in honor of the icon of the Mother of God called Life-Giving Source. There are gentlemen and ladies rooms.
