Get to know the history of one of the oldest Russian towns through archaeological findings, pieces of peasant and merchant life, documents and photos.
The biggest part of the exhibition is devoted to the landflood of Yuryevets District when the old town almost drowned. In the Twentieth Century showroom there are collections of documents, plans and photos about the Bolshaya Volga Bureau operation. In the Spirit of the Time showroom there are old books, icons and pieces of old Russian art that were saved from the drowned churches.
