Yuryevets, Naberezhnaya Street
A renovated embankment is the modern center of an old Russian town of Yuryevets. There are no facilities for sports or children zones, it is a place for walking, contemplation and relaxation. According to the Afisha Daily magazine, the embankment was included on the list of top-10 urban spaces opened in 2019.
The twisting pavement of the embankment copies the shape of the river's bed. Across the embankment you can see groups of wooden and concrete benches. They are of the same shape as the buildings drowned in the Volga River. While walking across the embankment, pay attention to the art objects united by the common theme of the Gorky Sea creation. It changed the history of Yuryevets and many other towns on the banks of the Volga River.
There are gorgeous views of the Volga River and the town's attractions from the embankment. For instance, of the bell tower of the Cathedral of the Entry of Our Lord into Jerusalem and the monuments of the drowned churches.
